Help turn the lights back on in Buayan!

Last week, in the village of Buayan (Kampung Buayan) in Ulu Papar, Sabah, a curious lizard crawled into the wrong hole and unfortunately blew out the digital load controller (DLC) of the micro-hydro system (see pictures below). After 8 years of successfully operating their own community power system, Buayan is at risk of having no electricity unless a new DLC can be purchased.

As a friend of Buayan, we're asking for your help in raising the $3,000 needed for a replacement. Any and all support is greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, nothing can be done for the lizard.
